The words of the Sylvia´s Christmas song
I am writing here the words of the Sylvia´s Christmas song.
Sylvia´s Christmas Song has been one of the most beloved Christmas carols in Finland for more than a century. The song was composed by the writer and composer Karl Collan (1828-1871). The writer and history professor Zacharias Topelius (1818-1898) wrote the words to this popular tune.
Zacharias Topelius has had a very great influence on the shaping of the Finns´conception of history and national self-understanding particularly through his novels and children´s stories. Topelius wrote almost all of his literary work in his mother tongue, Swedish.
Sylvia´s Christmas song is here performed in Finnish by the internationally renowned Finnish bass Martti Wallén in a special recording for Virtual Finland.Sylvia´s Christmas song

Festas natalinas
Tem sido hoje dia tão muito pitchdark e assim que silêncio e dia calmo. Mas está tão geralmente aqui no norte. Nós estamos comemorando logo o Natal que com tristeza e que com alegria.
Todo o pessoas em todo o mundo tem não bons sentimentos. Todo o pessoa não tem nenhum repouso onde poderia dormir feliz. Há os povos que têm que passar dias no hospital mesmo no Natal e estão faltando suas famílias. O Natal é o tempo o mais difícil aos povos sós e àqueles que são doentes e pessoas adultas.
Mas as crianças têm tanto por que ser crianças felizes e pelo menos aquelas pequenas e mais novas que ainda acreditam no Natal de Papai Noel ou de pai. E quem não o acreditaria? Papai Noel trará a alegria a todos, mesmo que sejam tristes.
Em toda parte em torno do mundo começ prontos para o Natal na maneira diferente e em suas tradições. Mas os olhos das crianças brilham a grande alegria enquanto Papai Noel lhes está trazendo presentes. Nós adulto não fazemos cuidado dos presentes porque eu penso que o mais importante é que você poderia ter alguém próximo por você que lhe dá o warmness e a segurança. O mais importante para nós, é que nós poderíamos passar o tempo do Natal com nossas famílias.
Eu desejo que todos, realmente todo o pessoas em todo o mundo poderiam ter o tempo calmo do Natal.
Mas hoje nossas caras caniches terão 11 anos velhas. E eu tomei fotos delas, naturalmente.

Waiting for Christmas
Today it has been so very pitchdark day and so quiet and peaceful day. But it is so usually here in North. We are celebrating soon Christmas who with sadness and who with joy.
All the people around the world has not good feelings. All the people has not any home where they could sleep happily. There are people who have to spend days at the hospital even at Christmas and they are missing their families. Christmas is the most difficult time to lonely people and those who are sick and old people.
But the children has so much why to be happy and at least those little and younger children who still believe in Santa Claus or Father Christmas. And who would not believe him? Santa Claus will bring joy to everyone, even though they would be sad.
Everywhere around the world they will get ready for Christmas in different way and in their traditions. But the eyes of the children shines the greatest joy as Santa Claus is bringing presents to them. We grown-up does not care of the presents because I think that the most important is that you could have someone near by you who gives you warmness and safety. The most important to us , is that we could spend Christmas time with our families.
I wish that all, really all the people around the world could have peaceful Christmas time.
But today our dear Poodles will be 11 years old. And I have taken photos of them, of course.

Karvakuonot viettävät synttäreitä
Tänään on ollut pimiää kuin säkissä ja hiljaista kuin huopatossutehtaassa. Mutta tällaistahan täällä kylmässä ja pimeässä Pohjolassa on. Me täällä pimeydessä vietämme pian joulua kuka iloineen ja kuka suruineen. Kaikilla ei ole joulunakaan asiat hyvin. Kaikilla ei ole omaa kotia pään päällä mihin voisi nukahtaa onnellisena. On ihmisiä, jotka joutuvat olemaan sairaalassa joulunakin ja kaipaavat omaan kotiin ja omaisiaan. Joulu on kaikkein vaikeinta aikaa yksinäisille, sairaille ja vanhuksille.
Lapsilla riittää riemua ja ainakin pienemmillä, jotka vielä uskovat joulupukkiin. Ja kukapa häneen ei uskoisi? Joulupukkihan tuo iloa jokaiselle, vaikka olisi suruakin. Kaikkialla maailmassa valmistaudutaan joulun viettoon eri tavoilla kukin omillaan. Mutta lasten silmistä loistaa se suurin ilo, kun joulupukki tuo lahjoja. Me aikuiset emme välitä lahjoista, vaan tärkeintä on, että on joku ihminen lähellä, josta saa turvaa ja lämpöä. Meille on tärkeintä, että saamme viettää joulun, joka on juhlista jaloin, läheistemme kanssa.
Minä toivonkin, että kaikilla, kaikilla ihmisillä maailmassa olisi hyvä ja rauhallinen olla jouluna.
Mutta nyt tänään on ensiksikin Unelman nimipäivä ja myös Justinan ja Unelman syntymäpäivä. He täyttävät tänään peräti 11 vuotta. Otin heistä kuvia joulukaulurit kaulassaan.
